What you'll need

  • We provide bowls for your practice sessions

  • If you already have therapy bowls, bring Heart, Univ. and Belly Bowl with #2 and #3 mallets

  • Novelty/antique bowls are welcome for comparison only

  • Notebook, optional (a manual is provided)

  • Wear comfortable clothes and bring socks, avoid jewelry

  • Lunch and snack, water for each day

Seminar is 2 full days. 

Participants receive attendance certificate. 15 CE’s available thru NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine)

This seminar may be taken alone, and is a prerequisite for certification as a Peter Hess® Sound Massage Practitioner. Full program includes 4 levels of instruction, plus a supervision program. 

Course Objective

The goal of this training is to familiarize you, the participant, with the basic principles of Peter Hess® Sound Massage. Not only will you have the opportunity to experience the “Sound Massage” yourself, you will also receive your first instructions in sound massage applications and, as a result, you will be able to perform the “Sound Massage” for private/personal use.

Course Description for Level 1

  • History of “Sound Massage”

  • Sound massage theory

  • Demonstration of the basic sound massage

  • Experience the sensation of sound in the body

  • Guided practice of the basic sound massage in pairs

  • Independent practice of the sound massage in pairs

  • Group discussions

  • Information about various types of singing bowls and mallets

  • Application of the “Sound Massage” — possibilities, safety and limitations.
